The Lost Posts - November, The Beginning

Hello November.  Let's kick it off with a broken ceiling fan globe.  Thanks Coop. Mom really didn't like that one anyway…said not this Mom.
Dinner time!
Shirts not required!

A little after-bath snuggle.
Wow.  Just wow.  Once a day at least, this counter looks like this.  Even if I empty the dishwasher and try and load it after each dish is dirty…or do a mid-day dish wash.
Whatcha got there Mom??

Sometimes you just gotta sleep where you can.
Always.in.underpants.

Waiting at Dr. Ryan's office for an adjustment.  I wish this had been the answer for this little mister!
A Mister Donut donut shop breakfast!

Waiting on someone's preschool to start…what better way to do it than with donuts right??
Feathers for a turkey…oh kindergarten mini-art.  I sure had fun working on these projects!
Cold nights and art projects call for hot chocolate!
Some of the finished turkeys.  They are a tad bit fat. But we were able to talk about colors and tie in some art!
A black eye.  Not his first or last.  This one was hit on the entertainment center!
Just relaxing.
Snuggling with this guy.  One kiddo sleeping and one in school meant some great one-on-one time this past winter.

I have no idea what is happening here.  But Coop's face seems distressed.
MORE homework.  And someone needs a haircut!
What happens when you put Deci on the porch because she growls at guests and you're afraid she's going to bite them.  She showed us...
After much procrastination I got a new battery in my watch.  It's been too long.
Again…sometimes you just gotta sleep!
A mall trip for cookies and the library!
Who needs books? Let's just play with the stroller wheels. Seriously kid!

A fun afternoon working on a Christmas craft/present!
Owen needed medicine twice a day for 14 days for a sinus infection.  This sticker chart helped the medicine go down…we just do what works to get through the day!

Holiday Crafting...take 2.

I mentioned a Thanksgiving holiday craft here.  Well recently we sat down to do a little winter/Christmas crafting...it was pretty hilarious!

This is what four year olds do when you sit them down and craft with them:
This is what two year olds do:
As a side note, he also ended with marshmallow everywhere.  His chair, his tush, his face, his hands.  We went for the bathtub right after this and he managed to slide his marshmallow butt in between the tub and toilet...the side of my toilet was coated with sticky marshmallow goo.

Ahhhh such is my life! I should know by now that crafting with kids is no neat affair.  Especially where Cooper is concerned.
Despite a little bit of a mess...the finished product was adorable and Owen asked us to put them up on the mantle to add to our decorations.  I couldn't think of a more perfect place to display them :)  I love his little holiday spirit.  It's clear he already has the same enthusiasm I do for the holidays!!  And Cooper begs to go see the Christmas trees at Target every time we are there!  Another holiday-love taking shape before my eyes!
Just one of the million reasons I love this time of year...and having kids to enjoy it with makes it all the more sweet!

Monthly Surprises!!

A few months back, Steff sent me a link to Citrus Lane.  It was such a fun and cute idea!! I signed us up immediately!  However, after a few months of boxes and some discussions with Steff, we ended up canceling our monthly subscription and going a different route.

For the last two months we have been creating our own boxes....and taken to calling them our surprises for the kiddos!  We shop for each others kiddos and swap the surprises on the 15th of the month!  I thoroughly enjoy both sides of this activity!  And cannot wait to continue this awesomely fun tradition!!

Here's a few pics from the past two deliveries:

A paint disaster!

We did a little painting project for Gigi's birthday in August...and well...we'll just say, after some playing, we got what we needed and got cleaned up!!  Cooper and paint...though he had fun...were just a wee bit messy!!

The beginning...

Getting a little braver...

 Happy Face!
Jackson Pollock?
And the above went quickly to this:
A bath and lots of clean up ensued!!  Ahh, gotta love toddler craft projects!!
