Kicking off September!!

I am so happy to say that I am officially ALMOST caught up!  It just turned October…and these pics?  Just from last month!  Yay for keeping my memories on track and FINALLY catching up a blog that's been severely behind for at least two years!

Greyson had a followup for his ear tubes the first week of September.  We had to do an interesting dance with the kids to make it work…Daddy took Grey to Children's and I took Owen to school then me and Coop headed to STL to meet up and gather Greyson from him so he could go on to work. Well Cooper and I had some time to kill and ended up at the City Garden waiting for the other half of our crew.  What an unexpectedly fun morning!!!

Petting a bunny.
Following a hill of ants.
Daddy and Greyson arrived!

The fountains at the park were still on since Labor Day was right around the corner.  We did not have swim gear and were completely unprepared.  BUT…we stripped down to our shorts and bare feet and had a ball.

After running wild for a bit, we enjoyed lunch from one of the awesome food trucks that pulled up while we played.  I had a lunch time bagel that was delicious!!  I can't wait to take this in more next summer!  Thanks for a fun day of adventuring City Garden…never mind the $115 in parking tickets we got.  $100 for Jeremy who parked the van in a handicap spot…and $15 for mine because the meter ran out.  Lesson learned…and didn't I mention that in a previous post…it's fun and chaotic being a Linley!!

After our trip to the City Garden, we had Coop's first day of four year old preschool!  He was very excited but got real serious when I asked him to smile.  True Coop fashion!
UABC Preschool is where it's at!  Not only do they have an amazing heart for kids…but for the parents too.  I arrived to a fresh cup of coffee prepared by Pastor Brad.
After school we were all smiles!

And so was his partner in crime!!
Love this little lady!!
My after-school lunch date!

Welcome September!  It was a great way to usher in our first month of fall :)

The Lost Posts - September, The Second Half

Aunt Jackie and I took off to the zoo…we were desperately out numbered but everyone behaved and we had a blast!!

So much fun!!
Steff is always in the know about awesome stuff going on locally…and this was a beverage following our trip through Vintage Market Days in Highland.  What an awesomely fun day with my best friend!!
There was eye candy galore!!  I left so inspired to come home and DIY myself into oblivion!!

Working on our homework routines earned him a star pop from Dairy Queen.  And the rest of us got some goodies too :)
Apparently we'd been living under a rock and pumpkin pie blizzards existed before this fall.  I don't know how I lived without them!!

A vintage market find...
I love this kid.
Jer's company planned a tailgate party at the Ram's game.  We had a blast!!

Love this kid too.  Such a fruit!!

Homework
One day while waiting to pick up Coop we wandered on over to the Robert Wadlow statue and park area next door to church…it's a pretty little spot that I think I could sit and enjoy some peaceful contemplation!
Making a change…I went auburn and haven't changed back since!!
A trip to Eckerts with Grandma and Grandpa.  A day to remember!!

Waiting for the tractor...

My little studs!  So handsome these two!

After our fun at the apple orchard we stopped in Grafton for snacks at The Whole Scoop. I love this little place. They have yummy food and fun ice cream…and it's right off the main drag through town. You can watch motorcycles go by and enjoy the quaintness that comes with small town atmosphere.

I decided it was time to redo the front door…and boy was it a overdue!!  It's amazing what a little bit of time and some new hardware can do!

Paint, hardware, kickplate and an inexpensive Command strip hanger from 3M.  Not too shabby!!
I realize I took a lot of homework pictures.  I think it was a shock to me how much there was when school began.  Here Owen is with two worksheets and a book to read.
Feeding the ducks!!  We set up a play date with Peyton and Case after school one day and it was beautiful weather and just a blast…as usual!!  After the ducks we took off for the park and enjoyed playing till it was almost too dark to see :)  So much fun!!!
