Backyard Love

We've been spending lots of time in the yard...and I love it.  After several summers of updating the yard is a place we can escape to without even leaving the house!  Here's a few pics of some recent backyard play time!

There was a story here.  About a king and a lady.  Owen was telling it. Cooper just nodded along and waved his stick.   I'm impressed they both have their eyeballs intact.  But as luck would have it...they do!

We sat our chairs here to watch the birds coming onto the feeder.  I told them if they were quiet they would see them.  And amazingly enough both of them sat very still and quiet and watched birds come to the feeder.  Someone briefly body snatched my kids because I never imagined this would work!!  I think they are growing up on me!!

Renovation Updates...Our Bedroom

A much needed update to our bedroom was in order.  I had the bedding purchased for over a year...so to say I was patient was an understatement!  The boys headed off for sleep overs and we dove into this project.

A few befores:

I did a poor job of taking durings, but we really just cleared it out painted and began reassembling!

New curtains, fresh paint and some updated bright and cheery bedding.  Walah!

We painted our long mirror dark grey and also put up some new framed photos.  We have plans to paint stripes on the wall with our TV and dresser.  When it's complete I'll post an update :)  I'm in complete love with this transformation!  

Mother's Day Weekend!

Mother's Day weekend ended up being a weekend chalk full of awesome fun.  Mom and Dad hosted a BBQ for us and we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon outdoors.  Weather, food and company were all as good as it gets! The best part was watching the boys find their way into mud puddles and fished plastic fish out of the kiddie pool.  It was great!

I made my first batch of fresh corn salsa of the season.  YUM!

This magnet graced my Mother's Day card from the boys...so very fitting!

On Mother's Day, we had the youngest two boys dedicated at our church.  Something about wrangling all 3 kids in front of the church did not allow me a single picture...so please forgive me boys.  It was very important to us to dedicate you at UABC, we just missed the photographs!  After a very special morning at church, we took off to be lazy at home.  There was goofing around in the yard and more enjoying the awesome weather!

These kids make me laugh...and they are handsome, loving...flat out crazy.

Greyson is like his brothers and loves to be outside. Our mosquitoes are bad this year...this net seems to help! And he didn't mind one bit. He was just glad for fresh air!

I'm a blessed and busy Momma.  These boys light up my life, keep me on my toes and aid in my serious lack of sleep.  And since I hit my 30's....it gets increasingly harder to go without.  But I wouldn't trade this job.  The ups and downs. All of it. For the world.

Cereal is Good!!

Mr Greyson had his first go around with cereal in May.  It was love at first bite!!

The Zoo - Our Second Trip

Our first family of 5 outing for the summer was to the zoo.  I signed us up for the Make Tracks for the Zoo walk through St. Louis Children's Hospital and we did our best to arrive on time.  We were however late enough for our family fun walk that we decided we would just have to look the part!

It was a great day as a family.  We got there nice and early...rode the train and the carousel...had lunch, ice cream and generally just enjoyed our favorite parts of the zoo together.

Uncle Josh Turns 30

We rang in Uncle Josh's 30th Birthday with pizza and chocolate cake...two of his favorites!  We got to see updates on Baby Girl's room, play in the yard and enjoy a relaxing evening filled with family!
