One seriously productive Sunday!

This past Sunday Jer spent the whole day over at his Dad’s house. Ever since Mike has been home, Jer’s been itching to put a little sweat equity into the yard. I think it’s a way for him to love on his Dad and Stacey. If you want someone to make a yard look immaculate, he’s the guy for the job. I'm not just partial...it’s amazing what he can accomplish in a day. I’m proud of how hard he works and that he always puts 100% into what he’s doing, or he doesn’t do it at all. Jer, I admire you so much.

While I certainly admire my husband's hard work ethic, I will fully and whole-heartedly admit that I am sick to death of spending entire days apart. We’ve had quite a few this year, and I’ve learned a lot about the good ways to handle it. And if I were honest, some bad ways to handle it.  While I can’t always be as ok with it  (or motivated) as I was yesterday, I do try my best. So while he was gone, I started running down the list of our household chores/honey-do’s, etc. If he was going to be productive, I would too. That way we were both doing some good with our day!  I feel that I accomplished a lot!! In a days time, I was able to:

Feed Owen breakfast
Run a few necessary errands (groceries and Target) and enjoy some time with my Mom
Put Owen down for a nap
Clean House – including scrubbing, mopping and dusting every room
Change a light bulb in our impossibly high closet ceiling.
Put together some lanterns I’ve had on my to-do list from forever ago (photo coming soon).
Feed Owen Lunch
Unclog a very clogged bathroom sink
Enjoy a surprise visit from Steff and Bry! They brought me Apple Crisp wine from Grafton Winery! And thanks Bry for changing my vacuum belt ;)
Cook a delicious meal of open faced meatball sandwiches which included homemade garlic bread and yummy provel cheese!
Feed Owen dinner.
Watch Robots with Owen and help him stack his blocks.
Give Owen a bath where we played with his bath time letters and numbers.
Wash up dishes from dinner
Finish invitations for April’s shower which included, printing address and return address labels and stuffing envelopes!
A bubble bath was on my list; however, I was too exhausted to go to the effort. My sweats were just fine!!

I was exhausted, but it felt great when I crashed in bed and watched an episode of The Defenders right next to my sunburned, exhausted, ice-packed husband!

Happy end of another long Monday everyone! Let it be a good week!

Thank You, the yard looks AWESOME. We love you guys so much. I can park the car next to the house now and thanks to Jeremy's suggestion, I have a much easier way to get Mike in the van.
