Owen's End of School Picnic and some thoughts on school!

Well considering Owen starts his summer session this week, it's about darn time I get a post up with a few pictures from his End-Of-Year Picnic.

Our biggest little guy had an end-of-year picnic mid-May. I wrote about him starting here.

Since his birthday is in March he caught the tail-end of the school year. He really seemed to pick up on things quick!  He loved his teachers, his classroom and his new friend Delaney!  It's been fun watching Owen grow and learn!!  His speech even since school has let out has improved so much he shocks us with full sentences and finally being able to share his feelings.

This picnic was an absolute blast for all of us. There were hot dogs, bubble blowing stations, a giant parachut with foam balls to play with, a station where the kids could get tattoos put on and just plain fun stuff to do on a warm spring evening!  We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and are looking forward to more time spent with this energetic staff of teachers and faculty!

This train was pulled by a tractor and Owen was in heaven the ENTIRE time!  He cried hard when the ride ended. But it sure was fun while it lasted!!

I'm excited for Owen to dive into a fun-filled summer session. He will be going Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to noon. He will get another great break from the end of July to the middle of August and we will begin his first full year of preschool for the fall session!  Hard to believe he'll be 3 and a half when that begins!  Somehow turning 4 makes me feel like he's getting so big, so very fast!!

Owen, Momma and Dadda are proud of your hard work every day!  Keep it up bubba!!
