Gulf Shores...the middle couple days!

After a full first day of adventuring, the next day of vacation, we found ourselves trying to soak up some fun and sun.

The girls took off on a morning of girl time....we did some shopping and enjoyed lunch at a perfect little beachside cafe called Bahama Bobs.  Delish!!

Later that afternoon, we took the kiddos out swimming and the boys went golfing!

Some pics from golfing:

It was a really pretty course!

The next day we took off after a morning rain storm cleared out and hit the Wharf for some shopping.  We were planning to eat there but there was a marlin tournament going on and it was packed!!  We did squeeze in a ferris wheel ride!

 Checking out the view!

AFter our ride, we took off in search of dinner.  After a few phone calls to find 3 hour wait times, we ended up at a place a little off the beaten path called Gulf Island Grill.  It ended up being delicious food and a much more tolerable 30 minute wait for our kiddos...who were amazing considering we weren't eating dinner till almost 9pm by the time we got our food!!

The next morning, we missed a ferry ride to Dauphin Island so we took off for a family lunch at LuLu's.  This place is owned by the sister of Jimmy Buffet.  We had a pretty uncooperative Cooper and so though this place was fun, we weren't able to enjoy it as much as we could have!!  No big deal...we were mid-way through our trip which meant mid-way through complete lack of normal routine...I think he had no idea what was going on anymore!!  After lunch, we took a long ride and the boys got a much needed long nap!

That afternoon when we got home, we hit the beach...for one of my favorite family afternoons of our trip!!!  Cooper loved the idea of the ocean, but hated the idea getting tossed around with the waves! So we moved the kiddie pool down to the edge of the water and gave the kiddos somewhere fun to play!!

While the little ones played on the beach, the big kids played with a football in the ocean!

AFter a couple days of hard playing, our boys were crashed!

And that about wraps up the middle portion of the trip!!
