Cooling Off!

A few weeks ago, we had some of our first heat warnings of the summer…and starting this weekend we are about to get into what the weather guys called “the hottest two weeks in over two years.” Can I just say…WHEN IS FALL??? But hey…it’s summer right? Summers around here mean HEAT! The only good thing about heat like that is that hose water feels great, there is no better excuse for ice cream as dessert and swimming is primo! Jer and I bought Owen his first official swimming pool during our last hot spell several weeks ago. It is pretty simple, but lots of fun. I think his favorite part of the whole thing is the elephant trunk spraying water. I think it’s my favorite part too!  No need for a sprinkler in our yard…this thing was giving the neighbors shed a bath! With the weather coming up I am thinking we’ll be breaking it out again soon!
