What has Coop been up to in the past month?
Well for starters...he is TAKING STEPS...we're talking unassisted, leave one spot and walk to another! He is balancing on both feet and standing by himself...and has been doing that for a little while now. BUT just before his 10 month birthday...he actually began testing the waters of walking...and is taking steps unassisted. YAY Coop!! We are so excited! Though your adorable little body looks MUCH too small to be walking...it's absolutley exciting and so fun to watch you learn!
Still in love with eating, drinking and anything related to food.
Talking up a storm. Momma and Dadda are what seem easiest, but I've definitely noticed him mimicking the sounds we make! Everything from uh oh to singing Old MacDonald.
Loves to play peek a boo with Owen
Loves to pull DVD's out of PS3 and turn it on and off. So much so we have to block it with the ottoman if he's in the living room.
Is falling asleep on his own. Just a little sound and projector playing nature sounds and he's out in a few minutes!
Slept from 7:15 to 8:30am one night this month...say wha??? Yep. He's a crazy good sleeper.
Shaking his head No when we tell him No No. This makes me laugh.
Understand a lot of things we say to him. He responds to his name, no, even gesturing him to come to us.
Has started this adorable but often exhausting habit of sitting at your feet and putting his arms out as high as he can reach and babbling sounds at us. I'm sure his babbles are "PICK ME UP!" He knows what he's doing b/c most times I can't resist it!
Pays little attention to anything on TV, but enjoys music emensely. He is still bobbing his head back forth at nearly all forms of music around him. He loves to hold our phones while we play any kind of music! The boy has some natural beats inside of him!
Has decided he HATES diaper changes and anything to do with laying on his changer. This includes clothing changes and diapers. Doesn't matter. He hates it! Gone are Mommy's loving days of lotioning her little baby after a bath and having sweet play time. They'll be back...but I miss them already!
Definitely has shown us already that he has an inquistive curisotiy for things and is very strong-willed nature about him!
LOVES to play with the kitchen utensils in my holder on the stove...he's not happy unless he's got one in his hand!
Loves to play with his V-tech singing helicopter and his piggy bank that sings.
Speaking of toys...he also LOVES cars. Anything with wheels really! He knows how they work and what to do with them...and often times he'll forgo a lot of other more appealing light-up, musical toys for a toy with 4 wheels!! Someone's been watching their big bro I think!
Points to everything! Where he wants to go, what he wants in his hands, something that catches his eye. Seriously communication is in the works folks!

Two short precious months left of your first year. Wow. This month as you walk and begin working very hard on verbalizing things I have to step back and reflect...b/c it's just been an amazing journey. At this time you are so curious about us and want to be doing what we're doing all the time. You make the most amazing little facial expressions. They are precious and sweet and some of them I swear are so far beyond your years of understanding!
Thank you for your amazing little smile and go with the flow attitude that seems exudes from you. Dadda and I can use a taste of that now and again!
