This past weekend started the madness!!
Friday night...my good buddy Heather took me to a quarter auction. It was my first and was an absolute blast!!! I won a cool Cardinals tumbler, a gift certificate to Celebrating Home which allowed me to purchase this awesome little monogramed cooler/drink holder, had my first and second Straw-ber-rita and enjoyed the company of some awesome ladies!! Thanks Miss Heather for inviting me...and opening me up to the world of awesomeness that are Quarter Auctions :)
Saturday was Katie's bachelorette party...and it was pretty darn awesome!! We started the day with a painting lesson. There was delicious food, lots of laughter AND most importantly...I learned I cannot paint. After painting we took off for some classic girl time. We hopped around to a few bars, ate bar food at 10:30pm, took pictures with mustaches throughout most of the evening and finished up the night (well I finished up the night...there was one bar after that I didn't make it to) at Ragin Cajun. Where we listened to music...we may or may not have crammed ourselves into a random dancer cage...and we laughed hysterically at a couple who appeared to be having ZERO fun until a cover of In the Air came on. It was the best air-drum solo I've ever seen!
Katie, I'm ready to celebrate your wedding to my brother this weekend! I couldn't think of a better choice he for him to have made than the one he made choosing you for a wife!! Bring on the next awesome party :) This girl is ready to celebrate!!
My beautimous painting...
First bar stop of the evening...Cat Daddy's in Alton.
Mustache 1...
Mustache 2...
And 3...
After seeing the boys pet horses on the nose, we decided it was time to purchase a miniature version...so we took home these two:
Soggy us...
About 20 minute into our drive I decided I needed some coffee to warm me up. A stop at Starbucks was in order...and there were treats all around :)
After tasting the remains of the cake pop that Cooper tried to shove in his pocket...Jer informed me that they tasted like coffee. Ask me if I'm surprised that Coop didn't really nap after that. The sign didn't say anything about coffee flavored...so next time you buy a cake pop at Starbucks...becareful. You've been warned.
Sunday evening we were bone tired...and the only thing that would satisfy that exhaustion was Chinese from our favorite carry out place. It was amazing. And the perfect end to a crazy, fun-filled weekend!!!
Here's hoping everyone else's May kicked off with the same wonderful fullness that mine seemed to!!
