Our drive-in adventure!

We had the pleasure of joining the Cincoski's on a fun little summer get-away to Litchfield, IL!!  Destination was a Hampton Inn for some swimming and the Litchfield drive-in movie theatre!  I'm so glad they asked us...and so glad we were able to go!  It was an amazingly fun-filled weekend with family :)

First on our agenda was some swimming!!  Crazy to think in August we'd have to seek out an indoor pool to get swim-time in...but here we be!!

The whirl pool was a big hit with the kids!!

Coopaloop in the Minnie float Peyt brought along.  Thanks Miss Peyt for sharing!!
After attempting some down time, we discovered the kids didn't really need/want it!  Cooper got on the phone and talked to Peyton...
He also climbed into the fridge...
And talked on the phone some more...

After our phone calls, a clothes changing and dinner at the Litchfield A&W, we took off for the drive-in.  Turbo was on the docket and both the kids had mentioned it when watching previews!  For $6 we got ourselves in and found some perfect parking right next to our partners in crime!

 Aunt Steff lovins!
Some toys and wagon riding kept us all entertained until show time!

Oh and Cooper took some time to "dribe" the van.

 Almost show time!
After the first show ended, our kiddos snuggled into their car seats and watched some TV in the van while we enjoyed watching Grown Ups 2.  Cooper woke up about 20 minutes before it was over and was fit to be tied...so we headed back to our hotel to get some shut eye!!

The next morning I got a perfectly thoughtful breakfast delivery.  Thank you Steff and Bry I could not have picked more delicious selections for myself!!
While I snacked away, my boys did this and I soaked in the view.  This scene was precious and one I knew I needed to savor:

My favorite moment of the trip:  About half way through the movie, Owen was snacking on Doritos, sitting in a chair in the back of our van in his PJ's...and he tapped me on the shoulder and said "Mom, this is sooooo awesome!!"  And I couldn't have said it better!  Awesome weather with awesome company, making great memories!!  We're a lucky bunch!
