Jeremy and I are still speechless at all the people who surrounded us with so much love while we were awaiting the arrival of our son. Everyone we love was at our side. I was so encouraged and excited by all the visitors waiting to make sure me, Jer and Owen made it through the long haul that was labor. We had so many people there, the nurses and our doctor began calling our crowd at the hospital our fan club! It was 2am before I was wheeled back to my room and I'll never forget the familiar loving faces of everyone coming in to make sure I was ok...and telling me how beautiful our new baby was. It truly felt like we had a whole fan club of people rooting for us! Please know each and everyone one of you made this time so special for us and I can't imagine Owen's birth happening any other way.
The best part for me was that in the days following Owen's birth, we found ourselves continually surrounded by these same people and even more. No one tired of checking in on my post-surgery status or taking a turn at holding our beautiful new boy. By 10am the next morning flowers of congratulations for us and more wonderful gifts for Owen than our room could hold came pouring in. It truly was amazing and unforgettable.
