Actually I have to say…other than a nice big snow storm and some sledding fun, the beginning of March has been pretty low key for this crew!! Here's a few updates on what's been happening around here the last two weeks.
$.50 well spent.
Love this:
Our ever evolving chalk board of inspiration…this quote courtesy of my hubs:
Something that makes me think of my hubs also. We've decided he's not good at the putting away of anything household related like laundry or dishes.
Playing "Mouse Game Trap" according to Cooper.
It's serious.
Last Friday I took the kids to the mall after school…we met up with my parents for cookies and some play time. We had a blast!
Owen was there but he was busy making friends with a 9 year old who was at the Eagles Nest. Just the beginning of all that is to come I fear.
This kid likes our snack cabinet a lot…and he knows how to open the door…and point or grab something if he's hungry. He also as demonstrated here…is capable of stacking multiple objects at once.
Sad…but true.
Last Saturday my parents invited the big boys over for a sleep over. And we had little man all to ourselves. It was beautiful weather so we hit the park with a stroller, got pizza at Roma's and then stopped for cookies. My favorite family date night in a long time!!
This little cutie is a blast to be with!
He loved his mini cheese pizza with alfredo...
And this cookie was for splitting…and Jeremy and I are still laughing at how quickly he picked it up and ate mostly all of it.
This face.
The next day we went to the park again to enjoy more of the weather. It was such a beautiful weather weekend!! Owen and Coop rode scooters around the park while we followed behind on foot. After many, many attempts at trying to convince the boys to stop scootering through the slushy snow left behind on the path…Owen finally bit the dust. He the ground superman style right into a big slushy snow/ice puddle. He was wet from head to toe. I couldn't help but laugh hysterically all while checking to make sure he wasn't bleeding. Funny he was freezing and wet but it sure didn't stop him from going to stomp around in this snowy mess. We waited for Daddy to go grab the van…and called it a wet, chilly day at the park and got into a nice warm bath at home!
A little picstich action from our family date night!
He thinks it's funny to smack me on my butt cheeks. Like hilarious funny. It's soooo not!
This kiddo got his first taste of the outdoors and our yard on two legs this same weekend…and he loved the basketball best of all. I think we have a fan. He's a boy after his Daddy's heart. And I have to say I'm impressed with his ball handling skills.
Dear March, I could take the recently warm weather on repeat…we just closed a week where we spent almost some part of every day outside…and it was glorious. There is something about that first taste of spring after a cold winter. I don't know if you appreciate it the same without its absense. Keep the good weather vibes a rolling Mother Nature! The Linley's are loving it!

Those are such memorable moments! Spending most of the time outside to have some family bonding is so great. It's visible in the photos and in your words that you really enjoyed it. From playing, to eating, and playing again, I bet you all had a blast. Thanks for sharing that, Jessie! All the best to your lovely family! :)
