The Lost Posts - July, Happy 80th Great Grandpa

Toward the end of July we took off on a family adventure to celebrate Great Grandpa Linley's 80th birthday.  Our game plan was a stop in Walnut to visit Grandpa and then the remainder of the trip was spent in Wisconsin.  What a fun and exhausting vacation!  I can't wait to do it again this summer!!

There are so many pictures…apparently I didn't get any while visiting in Walnut.  And I have one blurry pic from the hotel water park…fail on my part.  BUT there are lots of wonderful pics from the farm and the birthday party!

Grandpa Linley arriving at the farm.  He didn't know this was happening so he was definitely surprised.  We even managed to pull off fibbing about our visit to Walnut as a stop on the way to the Dells!

Aunt Janice, Uncle John, Jamie and Holly worked really really hard to make it all wonderful.  There were tractors for the kids to play on…and Cooper was in hog heaven!

Miss lady got right to doing exactly what you should do when playing outdoors...
And teaching her cousin all about it!

More tractor playing...

Greyson thought the whole thing was awesome!
Even sitting on a tractor next to his brother…he's brave.

Nothing like Grandma loving'!

Wildflowers from the farm all in a row with pictures from Bob's past attached.

Filling water balloons I think...
Playing bags
The beautiful scenery around the farm...

Playin in the dirt.

Waiting for a tractor ride...

Getting a lesson from Grandpa.

All together now...

Loading up...

Handsome fellas...
This tree makes me happy.  And there is a rope swing tied to it.  Pure awesome.
Tractor surfing…thankfully no one was hurt and by no one I mean Uncle Jonnie.  I'll have to thank him in a few years when my kids get all crazy and try that kind of stuff!  I'll have to thank my Dad too…but here I have photographic evidence!

Story time brought to you by Aunt Janice.
The garden.

Down the road from the farm…we actually passed a wedding going on at the neighboring farm. They rent the whole place out for weddings.  It was pretty amazing!

Grandpa showing more equipment and telling some more stories.
The farm has been in the family since 1845…

After some pictures the kids got a turn to ride on Jamie's tractor...

Waiting patiently...

Owen's turn...

Greyson hopped on and gave it a try…and he wasn't even scared of the noise!

These two are just good buddies.  The end.
Cake and candles for 80 years!!

He let Owen help him blow them out…it made Owen's day!

And the fun just kept coming!  It was getting warm…and water fun was busted out.

Water balloons!!

Dry clothes, swinging and a sunset.  What an amazingly full and fun day!!

Going home the next day looked like this:
