July was a full and wonderful month for our crew!! I have lots to share and update! Starting with the first week or so of the month:
A park date with Grandma…and this cutie couldn't have been cuter.
Probably one of my all time favorite pictures of this kid so far!
Lookin' fly…bink and all. Ha!
We had lunch at the pavilion then took off for the playground…this park is fun because it's right by the river and you can watch boats go by!
My sweet friend Heather brought her cutie Nash over for a play date one evening. We played outside in the yard and wrapped up with Tropical Sno...
Yes Cooper chose to wear an Iron Man costume. I almost made him change but I have to say I secretly love that he didn't care one bit whether you should or shouldn't wear a costume in July. He rocked it, rain boots and all.
July brought some more zoo visiting…I cherish these memories already!!
A ride on the carousel.
Then a stop for a train ride...
I sure do love these crazy two!
Back on the home front:
He was so tired he fell asleep right on his mat...
He was so tired he fell asleep right on his mat...
Ahh fourth of July celebration!
Sparklers and smoke bombs in the backyard!
Waiting for the fireworks to start...
At Sam and Brittany's wedding…with a very pregnant Katie…anxiously awaiting baby Reagan's appearance! We drove to Decatur to watch the nuptials and had the best time listening to Uncle Doug and Uncle Don tell stories about their high school and college days.
Ryder turned 2!!! We had a great time celebrating with water fun and cupcakes in their backyard.
Making a train with the couch cushions...
My dates for cookies and play time. It was our first week of Rookie baseball and Owen and Daddy were having fun…so we did too!
Pretty sure this isn't allowed...
Or this:
When Fazoli's says large…they mean it.
A stop for Tropical Sno after our second week of Rookie baseball.
A mall play date with Peyt and Case Austin...
They were on the move!
Just shoppin'
I got a Groupon for Bounce U in St Charles and took off for some fun! Ryder, Ryan and Mia and their Mommas joined us for their open bounce session. The pictures are terrible but the kids had a blast!
A swimming play date with some of our favorite peeps…yummy snacks and awesome swimming fun was had by all!! Is it summer yet??
Little Mister figured out picking up snacks was a great idea…this took him virtually no time at all!
This kid is ate up.
Yep…underwear, one snow boot, one galosh and a couch cushion slide. 2 almost 3 year old heaven.
My kids aren't juice drinkers by nature…they like milk and water most always. This summer on my bucket list was make Kool-aid. I tried cherry and they refused. Then I bought some blue Kool-aid jammers and Owen at least gave it a shot. I'm ok with them sticking to milk and water…but Kool-aid is a kiddo right of passage right?? Maybe this summer!!
More cookie dates...
On yet another play date we took off to the Botanical Gardens….apparently everyone else wanted to go too because when we went by the first time the parking lot was so full there was no where to park. We took off to Tower Grove park for lunch and hoping the crowds might thin out. There was a fun playground…and everyone rolled with our change of plans great!
At Botanical Gardens…ready to explore the Children's Garden…well they were ready. I'm not sure if Jackie, April and I were ready!
Not impressed Mom. Not impressed.
The Children's Garden was awesome and absolute mayhem. There are zero pictures from me on this one because I had two kids on legs and one in the carrier…I think April may have gotten some? But I'm certain we almost lost more than one kid more than once. I did lose a child named Cooper for sure. BUT adventure and fun was had by all!! And I hope we head there again this summer! Maybe with Dads and Uncles for reinforcement!
