Ahhh August. Another wonderful and busy month for us! We kicked off the calendar by celebrating a certain someone's 3rd birthday. Donuts and a park date with Grandma? Yes please!!
A snap shot with his balloons and his brother…before the balloons got destroyed!
We ended up meeting up with Aunt Jackie, Uncle Paul and Ryder for a McD's dinner at the park…it pays to have a summer birthday. Just saying!
And ended the whole day with an ice cream cake and 3 glowing candles!
Next up Jer and I snuck a trip to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater to see The Script and One Republic...
Dinner of choice was Buffalo Wild Wings…and these lovely beers were a nice appetizer!
I loved loved loved this venue. Jeremy had never been…and I hadn't been since seeing Jessica Simpson (who rocked it by the way didn't she Steff, April and Alicia?!) We could not have had a better summer evening for this show…you're not crammed into seats next to someone…and we actually enjoyed looking up at the stars and listening to two of our favorite artists in one place play some of our favorite music!
This guy still stops my heart!
One of my favorite moments was when the lead singer for the Script invited a girl on stage, dialed her ex-boyfriends number and sang him one of their classic breakup songs. It was hilarious and so awesome!! The guy hung up several times but he called him back every time and finally at the end said…your loss man. Hugged the girl and went back to performing.
My second favorite…or maybe most favorite story was at the end of the night when a very intoxicated girl came by being drug by her arms by another girl and guy towards the exit…they wanted to get her out of there and all she wanted to do was dance. So with every ounce of her being shrugged them off to and ran towards the front of the grass seating. She dance and yelled No!! I'm not leaving yet…this is my JAM!! WOOHOO!!! I LOVE THIS SONG. It's my JAM! Fist in the air…not one care in the world. We laughed pretty hard…and I'm guessing she wouldn't be remembering much about it the next day!!
And in other news:
A lazy Sunday lunch…delivered right to the door. We'll take it!!
Waffles…breakfast of champions. And Greysons too.
Stella's spin on cider is delish!
An afternoon solo with this little guy. Loved every minute!
We moved him into a big boy bath seat…which he did not last long in because of course he had to do what he saw his big brothers do…and that led to him climbing out…which led us to passing the bath seat along to Miss Reagan!
Lunch boxes for our impending Kindergarten start date...
A selfie…with my maniac. Before he maniaced himself into our porch door...
Someone whacked their head pretty good.
And then this guy hit his head on the wall. Gosh we are not a very coordinated family.
We took off on a lunch date with Aunt Steff and P buggy. Sweet Ashley's cottage for a little antique browsing and then lunch at a spot next door. It was so much fun…and Greyson didn't mind one bit that he was the only boy!!
This little cutie cracked me up…and made my day!
One of our adventures on our summer bucket list was to hit the drive in movie theater. It was awesome fun!!
Waiting in line to get in!
Picnic dinner…it was misting rain so the drive in wasn't too full. We got the perfect spot and unpacked our picnic dinner! $6 for a family night out is NOT bad!!
I packed the boys their favorite snacks in lunch boxes…and they loved climbing in the back to eat!
Ummm…yo moms…wheres my Doritos??
Trouble!
Pajamas and ninja turtle masks.
Coop informed me that he wanted to be a "bwue minja turtle." And I laughed out loud!
After our antique and shopping date this purchase hit my night stand. I love it!!
During our last week of summer before school started, I invited Isabel and Ryder to cap off our summer adventures (we had so much fun!!) with a messy play date at our house. Play clothes and adventurous spirits required!! I set up a bunch of fun stations around the yard and let the kids make a big ol' giant mess. It was something I hope we make a fun tradition for summers to come!!
A table full of dirt. I drug out all the boys little tractors and dinos…and let them get dirty!
Moon sand station. This was a favorite!
Finger paints and color bubbles.
Scooters and big wheels
Sprinklers
Getting messy!
I rolled out packing paper and stamps and paints…and the kids painted their feet and did some stamping.
He loved watching the fun!
Drink break!
Having a blast!
Love this silly kid!
Everyone into the tub!! So much mess and so much fun!
